Report informs, citing the Speedtest Global Index, that the country's average fixed broadband internet speed increased by 86% compared to the previous year's figure (35.25 MB/s).
In terms of fixed broadband internet speed last month, Singapore ranked first (330.98 MB/s), while Cuba ranked last (2.96 MB/s).
In December, Azerbaijan ranked 55th among 110 countries for mobile internet speed with 56.78 MB/s, advancing one position compared to November.
The United Arab Emirates ranked first in mobile internet speed (453.87 MB/s), while Afghanistan ranked last (8.20 MB/s).
During the reporting month, Baku dropped one position to 115th place among 199 cities for fixed broadband internet speed with 58.31 MB/s.
Valparaiso led the cities' fixed broadband internet ranking (322.91 MB/s), while Aleppo ranked last (2.04 MB/s).
Azerbaijan's capital maintained its position for mobile internet speed last month, ranking 77th among 160 cities with 72.75 MB/s.
Among cities, Abu Dhabi ranked first in mobile internet speed (527.65 MB/s), while Herat ranked last (8.84 MB/s).
