Azamat Abdullayev: Uzbekistan made cybersecurity training priority

Cybersecurity has recently become a critical issue for national resilience, economic stability, and public trust, Azamat Abdullayev, head of the Department for Coordination of Cybersecurity Issues in Government Agencies at the Cybersecurity Center of Uzbekistan, said at a panel discussion during the 4th National Cybersecurity Forum in Baku, Report informs.

He noted that this is why training qualified cybersecurity specialists has become one of Uzbekistan's top priorities: "In Uzbekistan, over the past few years, we have significantly expanded our efforts to train cybersecurity specialists, including trainings, cyber exercises, awareness-raising programs, and university initiatives. We have reached thousands of public sector professionals and students. The new regulations introduced in the field of cybersecurity and critical infrastructure have significantly expanded the responsibilities of government agencies across the country. There has also been an urgent need to rapidly enhance the professional competence of over 1,000 cybersecurity specialists in over 100 government agencies."
