Apple has announced temporary cuts in iPhone supplies globally due to the situation with novel coronavirus 2019-nCoV.

In a statement published on its corporate website, the company said production of smartphones outside Hubei province, which is closed for quarantine, is growing slower than expected.

"The health and happiness of every worker are our top priority, and we continue to cooperate with our experts in healthcare. Reducing iPhone supplies will have a temporary impact on our incomes in all parts of the world," the statement reads.

The second factor influencing the demand for the company's product is that most Apple stores in China are closed for quarantine, and the rest work in the abbreviated schedule. The stores are gradually opening, and Apple's corporate offices and contact centers in China work as usual.
