The World Health Organization (WHO) does not consider vaccination of adolescents and children against coronavirus dangerous, WHO representative in Russia, Melita Vujnovic, said on Thursday, Report informs, citing TASS.

She said the attention here is enormous, so the organization doesn't see any red flags or signs in the process of vaccination [of adolescents and children]. According to her, dose adjustments, clinical research - all this needs to be done, but there have been no strong warning signals so far.

According to Vujnovic, many countries have decided to vaccinate this category of citizens because the Omicron strain has crossed into this population, and there are hospitalizations among this category, which has not been severely affected so far.

The WHO representative emphasized that vulnerable segments of the population, especially adolescents and children, must be protected.
