There have been no cases of the new 'Mu' coronavirus strain in Azerbaijan, the representative of the World Health Organization in Azerbaijan, Hande Harmanci, said.
Report quotes her as saying various genome analyses are made to study the new strain.
She noted that the 'Mu' strain is currently widely spread, mainly in South America.
"Azerbaijan's healthcare bodies certainly hold regular analyses related to facts of infection. If a case of infection with the 'Mu' coronavirus strain is recorded, the public will be informed," she said.
