WHO: Number of omicron cases doubles every two to three days

Nabarro did not rule out an increase in mortality in this regard, noting that the problem will become serious in the near future.

The higher spread rate of the omicron strain compared to other variants of the coronavirus, according to WHO, will lead to an increase in the number of hospitalizations and an increase in the burden on medical workers and health care systems.
