Who is more susceptible to summer heat?

Surgeon Alexei Fedorov has listed the categories of people most susceptible to summer heat, Report informs, citing Russian media.

"Hot weather mostly affects those with cardiovascular diseases, namely those with hypertonia, ischemic heart disease, and those who had heart attacks or blood stroke in the past. Heat is also harmful to people with respiratory disease, with chronic obstructive disease, and those with altered lung capacity," Fedorov said.

The specialist noted that people with the mentioned conditions should move less when it is hot outside, stay in ventilated spaces, drink more water, reduce physical activity, and not forget to take medicines prescribed by a physician.
