WHO delivers 100,000 medical masks to Azerbaijan

In support of the fight against COVID-19, the Azerbaijan Office of the World Health Organization handed over 50,000 medical masks to Shamakhi district, and 50,000 medical masks, each 10,000, to hospitals in 5 conflict-affected regions (Barda, Tartar, Agdam, Fuzuli and Agjabadi).

Report informs that the aid is part of the German government's 121 million mask supply to countries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic through the World Health Organization.

It should be noted that 926,000 medical masks were sent to Azerbaijan from these medical supplies. Representatives of the WHO Country Office, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and TABIB took part in the events, and the relevant agencies signed a delivery act.

It should be noted that the medical masks were distributed among health workers and local partners for the use of those who are in direct contact with the population at the forefront of the fight during the pandemic.
