WHO: Children should also be vaccinated against COVID

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized for the first time that children may be vaccinated against COVID, Report informs referring to the updated recommendations published on the WHO website.
Children and adolescents tend to have milder disease compared to adults, so unless they are part of a group at higher risk of severe COVID-19, it is less urgent to vaccinate them than older people, those with chronic health conditions, and health workers, according to the report.
Children need to continue to have the recommended childhood vaccines.
