"We are trying not to use the term `wave' in connection with the pandemic. Currently, there are no waves in the country, because the epidemiological situation is stable. The infection rate has dropped,” Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Prevention and Control Department of the Association for the Management of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), told a briefing of Operations Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.
The latest increase in the number of infections was recorded in early November this year, she said.
“At that time, the infection percentage reached 21 percent. Since the start of the vaccination strategy in the country, we have not gone to any lockdown under the influence of the vaccination."
