People with caffeine sensitivity are better to refrain from drinking strong tea, Russian nutritionist, doctor of medical sciences Mikhail Gintsburg, said in an interview with Zvezda TV,
The expert explained that tea contains theine, a type of tea caffeine, and people react differently to caffeine and caffeine-containing drinks.
“If a person is sensitive to caffeine, his or her blood pressure will rise,” the nutritionist said.
However, the sensitivity to caffeine is different for all people, and this must be taken into account, the doctor added.
When caffeine is consumed, the walls of blood vessels narrow, and their tone increases, Gintsburg added, while the pressure may not rise everywhere, but only in the vessels of the brain or the kidneys.
