Cold hands always indicate vasospasm, Russian neurologist Pavel Khoroshev told the Zvezda channel, Report informs.
"There can be no other reason. However, the cause of this spasm can be very diverse. It can be a pathological reaction to cold, because of Raynaud’s disease," Khoroshev explained.
He noted that this phenomenon can also mean the body’s reaction to lowering blood pressure or taking medications.
"If for some reason a person’s blood pressure has dropped, the body thinks that there is a serious loss of blood somewhere. A spasm of the vessels emerges in order to limit the blood flow in them. The spasm is strong enough for the hands to become cold," added the specialist.
