“In a study of 100 people both in Azerbaijan and Russia, the combination of drugs showed an optimal safety profile and tolerance, which coincided with the results of previous clinical trials on the safety of AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, and Sputnik Light vaccines," Report informs, citing the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

The organization noted that the combination of the first component of the vaccine AstraZeneca and Sputnik V-Sputnik Light did not reveal any serious adverse cases between the interim results of the second phase of the clinical trials to assess safety.

"Monitoring of the volunteers lasted 57 days after the first vaccination and showed high safety indicators for the combination of drugs. The study did not reveal any serious adverse effects on the vaccine," the study showed.

As part of the study, volunteers with 28-day intervals were injected intramuscularly with the Ad26-S component of AstraZeneca and Sputnik V vaccines.
