Prolonged pandemic may exacerbate psychological problems

Prolongation of the pandemic can exacerbate the psychological problems that arise during this period, an expert at the Azerbaijani Health Ministry Gulnara Musabayova said, Report informs.

According to her, ignoring the recommendations for the protection of mental health can lead to constant psychological problems.

“In addition, a prolonged pandemic can lead to increased pessimism in people, which exacerbates psychological problems. For this reason, a person who falls ill and recovers must understand that this is temporary. Our family members and the people with whom we have regular contact also have some responsibility. Constantly voicing pessimistic views, holding conversations based entirely on the pandemic and the adverse situations affect mental health negatively. It is important to take all necessary measures and successfully leave the pandemic behind.”
