"The situation with infectious diseases transmitted through drinking water is stable," Leyla Tagizada, a leading consultant at the Republican Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology under the Health Ministry, has said.
According to her, water-borne infectious diseases are declining in Baku and the regions.
"Some water-borne diseases - cholera, whooping cough - have not been seen for many years. Some diseases have not been observed for 10 years. Hepatitis A has decreased and other diseases are being monitored," she said.
