How did Delta strain enter Azerbaijan? - OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Tayyar Eyvazov, the chief infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health, has commented on how the Delta strain entered the country.
According to Report, Eyvazov listed an example of one person who had a negative pre-flight test result. The same person tested positive after some period.
He noted that the disease has a latent period:
"At its last stage, the virus may show a positive result. We know that the result of a PCR test, usually given 72 hours before the flight, can be negative. However, the virus that enters the respiratory tract after some time may be positive in the next analysis," Eyvazov noted.
