Health Ministry reports increase in child bullying during pandemic

The number of children below 18 for the first time registered due to psychological or behavioral disorders reached 2,629 last year, Counselor of the Healthcare Organization Department at Azerbaijan's Health Ministry Aynura Zeynalova said.

Report informs that, according to her, the number of such children aged 0 to 13 made 1,946.

"A tendency of growth in these figures is observed. There have been numerous facts of the kind due to the pandemic. Children aged 12 to 18 suffer from bullying most. Such cases are usually observed among teens," she said.
