The number of coronavirus cases has exceeded 463.9 million worldwide, Report informs, citing Johns Hopkins University.

Since early 2020, over 6.058 million people have died from COVID-related health complications.

The United States, India and Brazil retain leading positions for the total number of registered cases.

To date, the US has recorded over 79.63 million cases of coronavirus infection and the COVID death toll is over 968,000.

India ranks second with almost 43 million cases of infection and over 516,000 deaths.

Brazil’s tally exceeds 29.48 million, and as of March 17, over 656,000 people have died of the viral disease in the South American country.
