The number of registered cases of coronavirus infection in the world reached 493,686,686, Report informs referring to Johns Hopkins University.

Since the beginning of the spread of the virus globally, 6,170,133 people have died after being infected with the coronavirus.

Countries with more infection cases include the US, India, Brazil, France, the UK, and Germany.

The US is the leader in terms of the number of infected and deceased, where 81,495,644 have been infected with COVID-19, and the number of deaths is 997,127.

India is next with 43,029,839 and 521,416 respectively.

They are followed by Brazil, where 30,015,357 people have been infected, of which 660,570 have died.

The fourth in terms of the number of infections is France (26,218,724 cases, 143,700 deaths, respectively), the fifth - the United Kingdom (21,522,955 cases, 166,378 deaths), and the sixth - Germany (21,706,329 cases, 130,052 deaths).
