"If we are jealous of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and other countries, then we should not reject the Chinese vaccine," said Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Georgia's chief infectious disease specialist and director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital.
Report's local bureau informed that Tsertsvadze was commenting on the delays in the country's vaccination.
According to him, the country's leadership could have long ago introduced the Chinese vaccine: "The government did follow the experts' recommendations and opinions."
The scandal over coronavirus vaccination in Georgia is not abating. Health experts, political parties, and public activists have criticized the government for failing to deliver the vaccine to the country.
