“I am very pleased that the first batch of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine arrived in Baku on a special day for us - Easter Sunday,” Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov said,
“Easter is an appeal to people with peace and kindness. The arrival of the Russian vaccine in Baku is a sign of the friendship between Russia and Azerbaijan. The Russian vaccine contributes to Azerbaijan's fight against coronavirus infection,” the envoy said.
“This vaccine has an excellent reputation. It has an efficiency of about 97 percent. It is already registered in 64 countries. These numbers speak for themselves. Russia is doing everything possible to assist brotherly Azerbaijan in the fight against this pandemic. I am sure that today's event will serve to further strengthen the relations between our countries, which are very close and friendly,” the ambassador added.
