E-prescription is valid for all medical institutions in Azerbaijan

Electronic prescriptions are valid for all medical institutions operating throughout Azerbaijan, said Sevinj Maharramova, a specialist at the Digital Healthcare Center of Azerbaijan, Report informs.

Maharramova noted that currently no fines are planned regarding this matter:

"Electronic prescriptions are suitable for both private and public medical institutions. Currently, no sanctions are being applied to citizens regarding this. All pharmacies can execute the process through applications downloaded on mobile devices."

The specialist emphasized that electronic prescriptions have many advantages for citizens:

"Paper prescriptions can be damaged and lost. Electronic prescriptions are the digital alternative to paper carriers. It also serves to ensure transparency."
