Chief specialist: Citizens should be allowed to go to regions
Report

"Although people concern about the situation on coronavirus, the number of infections is not so high in Azerbaijan. Our country has a population of 10 million, while the infections make only 0.1 percent. However, we care about several issues," said Jalal Isayev, Azerbaijan's chief specialist in infectious disease and member of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.

He also commented on the rush of Baku residents to the regions during the strict quarantine days. "People should be allowed to go to the districts. "There are some people who are not working or on vacation. They want to go to the regions. We can help them by creating some mechanism in this regard. Thus, the number of people can be reduced in Baku. Those who do not contract coronavirus can go home for a month. It is worth thinking. In my opinion, it is not right to force people to stay in Baku. Because they also tend to go out. We should analyze the situation in the country and decide to realize such a process. The risk of infection is higher in Baku than in the region. The population density in the districts is lower than in the capital.
