Clothes made of cotton fabric can protect against COVID-19, said scientists from the Canadian Public Health Agency, and the University of Manitoba.
Report informs, citing Izvestia, that it took less than a day for the virus to degrade in 100% cotton fabric.
"Cotton clothes in the closet can be considered safe in a day," noted Stanislav Otstavnov, a senior researcher at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
The expert added that everyone could use the sanitary benefits of this material. Cotton masks made of the triple fabric have the same high level of protection as surgical clothes. According to him, such covers prevent respiratory drops, which cause the spread of coronavirus.
