Azerbaijan, UAE discuss healthcare cooperation

Azerbaijan's Health Minister Teymur Musayev has discussed healthcare cooperation with a delegation led by Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, UAE minister of state at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Health Ministry.

Musayev noted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE is developing successfully in various areas, including the healthcare sector. He spoke about reforms carried out in Azerbaijan to modernize the healthcare system, improve the quality of medical services and introduce digital healthcare solutions.

The UAE minister of state thanked Azerbaijan for its hospitality and stressed that his country was ready to further expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in healthcare.

During the meeting, the sides broadly discussed the current state of cooperation in healthcare and prospects for its future development. Particular attention was paid to the application of innovative medical technologies, the development of healthcare infrastructure, improving the quality of medical services and building digital healthcare systems.

The sides also exchanged views on training medical personnel and advanced training programs, cooperation in research and innovation, as well as studying and applying advanced international practices.

At the end of the meeting, the sides emphasized the importance of such meetings in deepening mutual cooperation and agreed to further expand ties and continue work on specific projects in the future.
