Starting August 9, Azerbaijan will issue a Contraindication Certificate to those who have contraindications to anti-coronavirus vaccines approved for use in the country, Report informs, citing a joint statement of the Ministry of Health, the State Agency on Mandatory Medical Insurance, and the Union of Medical Territorial Units.
According to the statement, the citizens should apply to the polyclinics at their places of residence to obtain the certificate. The polyclinic will submit the information on these people to a special commission set up by the Ministry of Health. Based on the commission's opinion, the citizen will be issued a Contraindication Certificate.
"We would like to inform citizens who do not have contraindications that the analysis of the results of research conducted worldwide and our country shows once again that the most effective way to protect against new and rapidly spreading dangerous strains of the virus is vaccination. Besides vaccination, people should follow the rules on physical distance, masks, and hand hygiene."
