Last year, 800.8 million manats (including 520.9 million manats from the state budget, 279.9 million manats from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund) was spent on measures to combat the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country, Report informs, citing the Cabinet of Ministers.
Of the allocated fund, 314.1 million manats were spent for the purchase of vaccines, 165.8 million manats for payment of periodic allowances to medical workers, 132.9 million manats for the operation of module hospitals, 115.3 million manats for the purchase of medicines, medical supplies, equipment, and other goods and services, 46.1 million manats for the purchase of COVID-19 tests (reagents), 20.8 million manats to ensure the operation of full-fledged medical institutions operating on the principle of self-financing, 5.0 million manats to reimburse the costs of services provided in quarantine institutions to the persons taken under quarantine control, and 0.8 million manats were spent on the fighting pandemic in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
