Azerbaijan weighs to extend two-week hard quarantine

"The Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers operates under the special control and attention of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva."

Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told at a briefing of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to him, the coronavirus is a war, and it continues: "The government applied a strict quarantine regime till July 5. The Task Force is considering extending the quarantine regime for two weeks. We will provide further information on this issue."

Since June 21, the special quarantine regime has been tightened in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Masally, Jalilabad, and the Absheron region. Report informs, Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a relevant decision on June 19.
