Azerbaijan grants tariff relief for imports of face masks

Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has clarified the decision on changes to the goods nomenclature of the foreign economic activity of Azerbaijan, rates of import customs duties, and the rates of export customs duties.

The Cabinet of Ministers told Report that the provision of population and medical institutions with essential medical supplies at affordable prices and stockpiling on medical means is among the main issues as part of efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.

In this regard, shoe covers, sterile and non-sterile gloves, medical masks (for surgeries and medical procedures), and respirators imported to Azerbaijan are exempted from customs duties until June 1 of this year.
