Azerbaijan confirms 559 new COVID-19 cases, seven deaths

Azerbaijan reported 559 new COVID-19 cases, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told Report. 

As many as 545 people recovered from the infection, while seven coronavirus patients passed away. 

So far, a total of 25,672 people have contracted coronavirus in Azerbaijan, of those 16,695 have recovered, while 326 died.

At present, 8,651 people receive treatment.

On July 2, the government extended the special quarantine regime to July 20. It covers Baku, Jalilabad, Ganja, Lankaran, Masalli, Sumgayit, Yevlakh cities, and Absheron district, as well as Goranboy, Goygol, Mingachevir, Barda, Khachmaz, Samukh, Siyazan, and Sheki districts.
