Baku. 14 December. REPORT.AZ / Azerbaijan’s Food Security Agency has issued a warning in order to protect the population from the transmitted infectious diseases of animals which may move from the territory of other countries.

According to Report, the warning notes that the World Organization for Animal Health revealed the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza in the Iranian provinces of Urmia, Ardebil, Tabriz and Tehran .

It is noted that in this regard, it was decided to impose temporary restrictions on imports of live poultry and poultry products from the Iranian provinces of Urmia, Ardebil, Tabriz and Tehran.

At the same time, in order to strengthen the control measures, the Agency appealed to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan in connection with the disinfection of vehicles passing through Urmia, Ardebil, Tabriz and Tehran or following from these Iranian provinces.
