The highly anticipated Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix has kicked off in Baku, with the first day of racing delivering an exhilarating spectacle for fans.
The event, which has become a fixture on the F1 calendar since 2016, attracts thousands of motorsport enthusiasts from around the world to the vibrant city of Baku.
In the first test session, Max Verstappen of Red Bull showcased his skills, setting the fastest lap time. However, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc fought back in the second free practice session, claiming the top spot and demonstrating the intense competition between the two rival teams.
In the Formula 2 category, Enzo Fittipaldi of Van Amersfoort Racing set the pace in the practice session, while Richard Verschoor of Trident topped the qualifying session.
