It is currently difficult to predict the policy of new US President Donald Trump's administration regarding the South Caucasus, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said during a briefing, according to Report.
"It's difficult to predict the Trump administration's policy towards the South Caucasus. Past experience shows that attempts at interference by non-regional players have not led to anything good," she said.
Zakharova noted that Russia continues to support direct dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia and is always ready to provide support to both countries, the development of civil society contacts, and the unblocking of communications.
"Regarding the '3+3' platform - this is a promising mechanism for building dialogue between South Caucasus countries. It has its own tasks and goals, there is progressive development in areas of mutual interest. There is no behind-the-scenes agenda, everything is openly stated," she added.
