Baku. 2 March. REPORT.AZ/ The rotation of the ambassador to Baku is a natural process.

Report informs, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry (MFA) Maria Zakharova said commenting on the appointment of a new Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

"Russian president makes certainty in the appointment of the ambassadors of the Russian Federation. Relevant decrees are published on the president's website. This is completely his prerogative”, Zakharova said. 

According to her, Russian-Azerbaijani relations are developing, the work is in progress.

"Our embassy in Baku is working, contacts are being maintained in Moscow with our Azerbaijani colleagues”, she added.

The representative indicated that the rotation is a natural process.

"This does not affect our relations and our contacts with our Azerbaijani counterparts”, Zakharova stated.
