Vike-Freiberga notes significant changes in Azerbaijan over past few years

Significant changes have occurred in Azerbaijan over the past few years, Co-Chairman of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, ex-President of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberga said at a press conference dedicated to the XI Global Baku Forum, which will be held in the capital of Azerbaijan from March 14 to 16.

The opening of the XI Global Baku Forum will take place tomorrow, she said, adding that the main theme of which will be "Repairing a Broken World,"

According to her, the present-day world is truly divided in many respects.

At the same time, she noted that significant changes have occurred in Azerbaijan over the past few years, in the direction in which the world is expected to develop, namely in resolving frozen conflicts and establishing peace.

Vaira Vike-Freiberga recalled that Baku and Yerevan are in the process of negotiating a peace treaty.

According to her, more than 400 guests from 67 countries will take part in the Global Baku Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.
