Vike-Freiberga: Azerbaijan’s assistance indicates solidarity in fighting pandemic

Azerbaijan’s assistance to other countries is evidence of cooperation and solidarity in the fight against the pandemic, Former President of the Republic of Latvia, co-chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center Vaira Vike-Freiberga told Report.

In today’s speech, the Azerbaijani president noted the importance of supporting international efforts in the processes that are taking place in the world, such as the climate conference in Glasgow, she said.

During the Global Forum launched in Baku, everyone witnessed statements by important persons, such as, for example, the heads of the WHO and the IMF, who noted the importance of Azerbaijan’s contribution to the fight against the pandemic, including the allocation of financial assistance to countries in need of support during the pandemic, she added.
