The United States will be glad to help when Azerbaijan opens a new page in the history of protection of its own culture, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger said addressing who addressed the conference "The Great Return: The Revival of Culture", said, Report informs.
The ambassador noted that the United States can make recommendations on the latest technologies to identify, catalog, protect and develop the tourism potential of these areas.
One of the positive impressions of Azerbaijan is the country's respect for different cultures, the ambassador added.
He noted that many peoples have lived in these areas for thousands of years. As a result, people of Islamic, Christianity and Judaism religions in Azerbaijan have used their historical properties. All of them need protection.
The ambassador said that the restoration and protection of monuments determine the identity of the people: He recalled some pictures when the restoration work began in Agdam, Fuzuli and other liberated areas and expressed confidence that Azerbaijan will pay equal attention to the protection of historical and cultural heritage. It includes Azerbaijanis, Armenians and other ethnicities.
He said they had seen disturbing images and reports of damage to religious monuments in these areas and believe that UNESCO and other experts should be allowed to enter the liberated areas.
