"Terrorist organizations give false and unreasonable information to young people via Internet," Report informs, Executive Officer at Department of Political Affairs, United Nations Sevil Alirzayeva said during the 5th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue “Strengthening multilateralism and diplomacy for peace in the UN system”.

According to her, traditional methods of combating terrorism are ineffective: "Sustainable peace is needed to achieve results in the fight against terrorism. Youth involvement is important in this fight”.

She noted that young people quickly fall under the influence of terrorist organizations.

Chief of Cabinet and Spokesperson for the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Nihal Saad emphasized that youth is the main ally of the UN in the fight against terrorism.
