UN resident coordinator: Azerbaijan makes progress in fight against climate change

Azerbaijan has made progress in the fight against climate change, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva said in Baku at an event dedicated to climate change.

Report informs that, according to her, despite all the contributions to the development of ecology, there are some problems in Azerbaijan, as in several other countries, particularly in water resources.

She stressed that Azerbaijan is taking all measures to combat climate change.

Andreeva noted that the problem of climate change had been discussed for almost 30 years in the framework of the UN Conference (COP26).

She also stressed the need for $100 billion and other investments to fight this global problem.
