UK Embassy in Azerbaijan comments on Bako Sahakyan's visit to London

Baku. 1 July. REPORT.AZ/ The UK Embassy in Azerbaijan commented on the visit of the head of the separatist regime in Nagorno-Karabakh Bako Sahakyan to London at the invitation of a non-governmental organization "Chatham House". 

Report informs referring to the Embassy, the statement reads: "The UK does not recognize the self-proclaimed “Nagorno Karabakh Republic.”

It was also noted that Bako Sahakyan is travelling to the UK independently and the UK Government has no role in his visit: "Chatham House is an independent institution and makes it own decisions about who to invite to its events. The UK Government has no influence over these decisions, nor should it, given our respect for the freedom of action of Non-Governmental Organizations."
