Turkish minister: Erdogan to visit Azerbaijan in coming weeks

At the level of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, discussions have been recently underway on how to plan rehabilitation and restoration work in the liberated Azerbaijani territories, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said, Report informs.

He said that Armenia has been encroaching on the cultural heritage in the occupied lands of Azerbaijan for many years:

“Along with infrastructural and reconstruction work on these lands, first of all, there is the restoration of monuments of cultural and historical importance, and archaeological monuments. After the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Azerbaijan in the coming weeks, our activities to restore Karabakh will intensify. The restoration and protection of cultural and historical monuments in the shortest possible time will also give impetus to the development of tourism in the region.”
