Turkish Foreign Ministry issues statement in connection with Lachin road

Türkiye is closely following the discussions around the Lachin road and understands the justified concern of Azerbaijan on this issue, reads the statement of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Report informs.

"Unfortunately, the concerns voiced by Azerbaijan for a long time were not taken into account, and as a result, Azerbaijan, within the framework of its sovereign rights, took measures that it considered appropriate. Türkiye believes that there are no grounds for criticism in relation of Azerbaijan regarding the Lachin road. Currently, the passage along the Lachin road for medical purposes, as well as other routes convenient for the transportation of goods, show that the Azerbaijani side is making every effort in good faith for this," the statement says.
