Tofig Zulfugarov: Armenia intensified propaganda based on fake videos

Azerbaijan must inform international organizations about the execution of Azerbaijanis taken prisoner and missing in the 1990s by Armenian militants, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, political scientist Tofig Zulfugarov told Report.

He stressed that Yerevan and the Armenian lobby abroad are conducting aggressive and unfounded propaganda against Azerbaijan.

The former foreign minister noted that Armenia has stepped up propaganda based on fake videos: “Azerbaijan, in order not to impede the peace process, has stopped publishing footage of Armenian atrocities. But there are many issues that we must convey to the world community. International organizations should be informed about such facts as the destruction of territories during the occupation, the crimes committed in these territories, the execution of the missing and those taken prisoner in the 90s, the inhuman treatment of prisoners during the Patriotic War.”

According to Zulfugarov, there is currently no real peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia: “Armenians only create an appearance, trying to show that they are allegedly actively participating in it. The active propaganda war against Azerbaijan suggests that Armenia has no peaceful intentions. Any statements by Yerevan should not be taken seriously.”

The political scientist noted that mine warfare is one of the types of military actions: “Azerbaijani servicemen detect mines produced in Armenia after the Patriotic War. All this once again proves the provocative and terrorist actions of Armenians against us. The ongoing provocations, minelaying and terror attacks in September demonstrate that Armenia is not true to its word.”
