Former Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Teimuraz Sharashenidze has been appointed ambassador to Ukraine, Local bureau of Report informs citing the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
It was noted that Sharashenidze has been working in Georgian diplomatic agencies since 1996. He served as the Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan in 2011-2018, and he was the ambassador to Ukraine in 2004-2008. The diplomat has been the Consul General of Georgia in Turkey and Bulgaria for many years.
Along with Ukraine, Georgia appointed a new ambassador to Kuwait and the Vatican.
