Speaker urges pullout of illegal Armenian armed formations from Azerbaijani territory

"The remnants of the Armenian army and illegal Armenian armed formations must be completely withdrawn from Azerbaijan’s territories," Report informs, citing Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova telling a meeting with Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Maulen Ashimbayev on March 28.

She said that Azerbaijan had restored its territorial integrity and put an end to the occupation.

"The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan is no more there. Our country is currently restoring the territories liberated from occupation. Azerbaijan wants to ensure permanent peace and stability in the region. Our country respects sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries and requires respect for their territorial integrity and sovereignty."

Sahiba Gafarova noted that Armenia continues provocations.

"According to the fourth paragraph of the tripartite statement, the remnants of the Armenian army and illegal Armenian armed formations must be completely withdrawn from the territory of Azerbaijan. Unfortunately, Armenia has not yet fulfilled these obligations. On the contrary, recently the members of the illegal Armenian armed formations have further intensified provocations against the units of the Azerbaijani army. Armenia must properly assess the new regional realities and fulfill its obligations for the establishment of peace and stability."
