Serbian President: We support the independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan

Report informs, Serbian President, Aleksandar Vučić made a statement to the press on May 21 in Baku with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

"I consider that I am the first head of state to visit your country after your election as President. It is a great honor for me. Developing friendly relations with Azerbaijan is very important for us. It is very relevant to the interests of our states and peoples. There is great area for our collaboration. For this reason, I have come to Azerbaijan with almost half of our government. Because we are determined to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres. We are grateful for the support to the independence and sovereignty of my country. In our turn, we also stand for the independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. This position of the two countries will remain unchanged. We highly appreciate your policy. You are such personality that you protect your country's independence, you protect your dignity and do your best for the welfare of the citizens. As your country is located in a very complicated region at the crossing of different regions and you have a good example of preserving your country, " the head of state said.
