Senator: Azerbaijan is a key element for assisting strategic partners of NATO

Report informs referring to "The Washington Times", it was stated by Republican Senator from Ohio Michael Turner.

In his speech in the House of Commons of the US Congress, M.Turner explained why the project pipeline has more than economic opportunity for the Caspian region. "Southern Gas Corridor " will contribute to regional energy security for our allies in Europe and Eurasia and will help to strengthen our strategic partnership," he stated.

"Azerbaijan, with its huge oil and gas reserves is a key element to assist strategic partners of NATO and other European countries within the framework of the diversification of its energy," the Senator stressed.
