School of Eastern Partnership program to open in Tbilisi

Tbilisi. 1 September. REPORT.AZ/ EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Johannes Han will visit Georgia on September 3.

During the two-day visit, the European Commissioner will participate in the opening ceremony of the European School for EU Eastern Partnership member countries in Tbilisi.

Students from six Eastern Partnership countries will study at the school. They will be selected through competition.

International educational programs in accordance with European standards will be offered at the educational institution and graduates will be awarded an international bachelor's degree.

The European school will be located in a private school called "New School" until the new building is built. In the 2018-2019 academic year, more than 30 students will be enrolled in the school.

During his visit to Georgia, Han will also meet with President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhadze and Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani.
