Roads from Azerbaijan to Turkey to go via Armenia - Roads agency chief

"The road, of which the foundation will be laid today, is the Zangazur corridor road. It will start from here, where we are now. This is the first junction. The distance from here to Agband, to the Armenian border, is 123.6 kilometers," Saleh Mammadov, chairman of the State Motor Road Agency of Azerbaijan (AAYDA), said this while briefing Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the Zangazur-Horadiz-Jabrayil-Zangilan-Agband highway on October 26, Report informs.

Then Recep Tayyip Erdogan asked: "You are going to the Armenian border, aren't you? You will go further."

In response, Mammadov said: "Yes, we will go further from there. With God's help, we will go straight to Istanbul, we will go to Europe. May God protect you."
