Qasim Mohiuddin: Pakistan, Azerbaijan have no plans to abolish visa regime

A visa-free regime between Pakistan and Azerbaijan is not planned, Pakistan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin told Report.

He noted that both Azerbaijan and Pakistan have implemented an electronic visa system for passport holders: "As a result, visas for citizens of both countries are issued within just a few hours. There are no problems with visas. Therefore, the introduction of a visa-free regime is not planned. We would like to introduce a visa-free regime for citizens of both countries, however, there are currently no special discussions on this matter."

The ambassador also added that last year more than 80,000 tourists from Pakistan visited Azerbaijan.
